If you are renting a property for the first time you may be wondering where to start. At Space2, here’s how the process works:
1. Register with us: either online, via email or phone
2. We’ll start searching: as soon as we understand your requirements we’ll begin to search for suitable properties, keeping you posted along the way via telephone, email or SMS
3. Viewings: we’ll come along with you to view suitable properties (available weekends and evenings midweek if necessary)
4. You decide: if you like what you see and decide to go ahead, we’ll guide you through the application and referencing procedure
5. Security deposit: different landlords request different levels of deposit, we can advise you of the exact amount for the property you are interested in. As a guide 1.5 months rent is commonly required for the security deposit.
6. Tenancy Agreement: we’ll draw up a formal tenancy agreement for you and if necessary your guarantor to sign
7. Inventory: the inventory covers the contents and condition of your chosen property – you’ll need to check and sign this within 7days of moving in
8. Rent: you’ll pay your first month’s rent in advance, then by monthly standing order
9. The Keys: move in and put your feet up!
